About TRAIL NORTH

The logo was designed by our founder, local Peninsula resident and former graphic designer – Larry Banks.

The TRAIL NORTH logo is inspired by the limestone pillars of the Bruce Peninsula. In places like the Grotto, Overhanging Point, and along the rugged shoreline, these pillars frame deep blue
water below and cedar trees clinging impossibly to the cliff edges above.

The arrow mark between the pillars symbolizes the trail north: compass orientation, ascending elevations, and the drive to keep exploring...

Take the Trail Home
From the rugged cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment to the quiet forests and turquoise shorelines of the Bruce Peninsula, hiking the trails is an experience that stays with you long after the hike is over.

We design and curate locally inspired gear, merchandise, and souvenirs that capture that feeling — the sense of discovery, effort, awe, and connection to place. Our products are made to be meaningful mementos, not just keepsakes: reminders of muddy boots, limestone bluffs, cairn markers, blistered heels, and unforgettable views.

Rooted in Place

Every design begins with the landscape — its geology, weather, history, and wayfinding icons — and is shaped by the stories of hikers, locals, and visitors who know the trails firsthand.

We believe souvenirs should feel authentic to where they come from. That’s why our designs are grounded in real locations, real trail markers, and real experiences — not generic outdoor imagery.

Designed Local. Made with Purpose.

Whenever possible, we partner with local makers, artists, and small businesses to bring our products to life. Keeping production close to home helps reduce environmental impact while supporting the communities that surround the trails themsevles.

Our soaps are made locally by Georgian Bay Soapworks. The honey in our Honey Hiking Stix is sourced from Jennen Bee Farm near Miller Lake on the Peninsula.

More Than a Souvenir

Trail North is for people who like to hike and explore. This is for people who have hiked the trails or just went to one lookout point. It is also, for people who just stood there and enjoyed the views.

Our goal is simple: help you take home more than photos and sore legs. Trail North lets you take the trail with you — its character, its beauty, its story.
